Terms and Conditions for travelling your pet with PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT.
PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT is based in the Hunter Valley of NSW, Australia trading as PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT and its employees. Employees of PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT have the authority to enter into a contract on behalf of PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT but have no authority to alter or vary these terms and conditions.
”Animal” or “Animals” means any animal, multiple of animals being provided to PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT for the purpose of being transported.
The person who places the booking with PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT shall be held to be the owner and are deemed to have accepted the following terms and conditions. They will also be deemed liable for any additional costs that may be incurred on their behalf during the transport. Any person who contracts PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT, makes payment to and/or delivers animal to PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT for the purpose of transport, warrants that they (if not the owner) have authority from the owner to do so and accept the following terms and conditions.

PRICING AND PAYMENTS
Any price or quotation provided by PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT is based on the information received by the owner in regard to the animals, size, breed, location of pickup and delivery. PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT reserve the right to vary it’s pricing if the information received is inaccurate or changed. The quoted pricing provided by PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT is for transport and care of the animal only, and does not include Veterinary costs, boarding fees, pet insurance or any other extras unless this has been agreed upon at the time of booking. The quote is valid for 30 days.
Payment can only be made via bank transfer. Cheques will NOT be accepted. A non-refundable deposit of $100 must be made at the time of the booking with final payment 7 days prior to the departure of the animal. The booking will not be confirmed until full payment has been received. If a payment is incomplete or returned, PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT reserves the right to refuse pickup of the animal.
In the case the owner of animal advises of a cancellation prior to collection of the animal/s PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT will refund 80% of the quoted price less the $100 non-refundable deposit/booking fee.

PRIVACY
PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT collects the information of the animal provided by the owner for the sole purpose of animal transportation. This information is kept confidential and only released to other sources if the animal is being transferred to another animal transport company, boarding kennel or veterinary for health purposes. PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT will not be held responsible for any loss or inconvenience suffered by any party as a result of this disclosure of information.

VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS AND/OR CLEARANCE
Please note a fit for travel, veterinary clearance certificate will be required if your animal/s is pregnant, sick, or injured, or aged between 8 to 12 weeks.
Whilst all care will be given, all Brachycephalic/snub nosed breeds will be accepted at the owner’s own risk and if requested by PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT may also be required to provide a fit for travel veterinary clearance certificate.
All dogs/puppies are required to be up to date with their vaccination and worming regime prior to transportation. All cats must have received an F3 vaccination. Pocket Pets must have had flea/mite treatments. A copy of the vaccination card to be provided with booking form.
PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT does not endorse the use of tranquilisers or sedation of your pet/s in any manner due to increased health risks. If your pet/s require the use of tranquilisers or sedation this must be arranged by yourself and prescribed by your own veterinarian together with a letter of exemption to PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT for any complications arising from the administration or use of tranquilisers or sedation.

LIABILITY
1.1 PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT recommends that any animal documentation are NOT attached in or on the animal’s crate as PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT accepts no responsibility if these documents are destroyed, damaged or lost in transit. PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT recommends that copies are made of any documents that are sent with the animal.
1.2 PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT reserve the right to refuse to transport or handle an animal that is deemed to be aggressive in any manner and this will be at the discretion of the driver. If the PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT driver is not advised of the animal’s behaviour and the animal causes injury to the driver, another person or animal all medical/veterinarian costs will be charged to the owner.
1.3 PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT will not be held responsible for any delays in transport where there are road works, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, weather conditions or driver illness. PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT will endeavour to advise the receiver of the animal/s an approximate ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) throughout the journey.
1.4 You acknowledge that whilst PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT and their drivers take all reasonable care, they cannot be held responsible for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any pet this includes kennel cough and the like.
1.5 You have, to your full knowledge, disclosed all health concerns, special needs and behavioural issues in regard to your pet/s.
1.6 You acknowledge that PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT may take photos or videos of your pet at either departure, during transit and/or upon arrival, and agree for these photos or videos to be used without payment or consideration.
1.7 You acknowledge that in the case your pet/s require veterinary assistance, all costs will be charged to you and PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT may be required to leave your pet/s at the veterinary clinic due to our duty of care for other animals on board and scheduling requirements.
1.8 You acknowledge that if the receiver is not contactable at the time of delivery, PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT may be required to return the pet/s to the owner for an additional cost.
1.9 You acknowledge that PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT driver may exercise your pet/s during the course of their travel. This will alert the driver if the animal is showing any adverse health concerns. PACIFIC ANIMAL TRANSPORT cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury or contraction of diseases whilst they are being exercised as this can occur if being exercised by yourself in your own care. It is the owner’s responsibility to inform the driver if they do not wish for their pet/s to be exercised during the course of travel.
1.10 By accepting the booking you accept the terms and conditions contain herein.
